Strengthening Our Democracy
Safeguarding Election Workers
The people who work our elections – staffing our polling places, tabulating our ballots – are heroes. Their work is critical for the functioning of our democracy – but they’re under attack. In recent years, election workers have suffered an unprecedented onslaught of harassment, and even death threats. We’re giving them the support they need to do these critical jobs.
Voter Education and Combating Misinformation
In too many states, legislatures and bad actors have made the act of voting and registering to vote harder than ever – shifting rules, qualifications, and even polling place locations and voting hours. Misinformation targeting voters online is rampant. We’re working to make sure that all voters have the information they need to exercise their constitutional rights.
We need our leaders to reflect the values of the communities they represent. We can’t get there without registering more voters, especially from communities who have been left out of the democratic process for too long.
Opponents of free and fair elections are using the courts to disenfranchise millions of vulnerable voters, and are increasingly using the threat of legal action to attack election administrators and officials. We’ll be there to fight back – and win.
